Angel's & Emily will take over the space once occupied by Ruby Sunshine in The Victory building in West Ashley, offering Angel Biscuit Co. during the day and Emily in the evenings. The restaurant will serve house-made biscuits and breakfast fare during the day before transforming into a pizza and burger establishment at night. Howard Greenstone, a partner in the Pizza Loves Emily organization, is behind the new Charleston establishment.
Will Clemson face former NFL preseason players vs. LSU? Louisiana court makes decision.
A Louisiana judge granted a temporary injunction making former NFL preseason players Dae'Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris eligible to play until the case is settled, with the court ruling that the NCAA, SEC and LSU cannot prevent the players from competing. Wright and Harris, who were waived by the Cleveland Browns and New Orleans Saints, respectively, have been with LSU in practice this week and could satisfy the NCAA's seven-day acclimation period if rostered. The SEC announced plans to file an appeal as soon as possible, and the SEC also filed suit against LSU in an Alabama federal court Thursday morning, accusing the university of knowingly violating league rules by recruiting former professional players.
